Privacy Policy
Effective October 20, 2026
This policy explains what information thebrandcreate.com (“the site,” “we,” “us”) collects from visitors, how it’s used, and the choices you have. B. Thomas is an independent artist based in Los Angeles, California, and this site exists to share her work and connect with collectors and supporters.
1. Information We Collect
We collect the minimum information needed to run the site and respond to you directly:
- Newsletter signups: the email address you submit through the “Stay in the loop” form. This is processed through Formspree, a third-party form service, which forwards each signup to our studio inbox.
- Direct contact: if you email us or message us through Instagram, we receive whatever information is in that message (e.g. your name, email address, and message content).
- Basic site analytics: standard, aggregated technical information (such as pages visited, referring site, country, and general device type) collected by Vercel Web Analytics, which does not use cookies or identify individual visitors. We use it only to understand how the site is used, never to build advertising profiles.
We do not currently sell prints or other goods through this site, and we do not collect or process payment card information, shipping addresses, or order details of any kind. See “Prints & Future Purchases” below for how this will change once prints go on sale.
2. Donations & Support
Voluntary contributions made through the “Support the Artist” / Donate section are processed directly by Venmo and/or Square, outside of this website. We do not receive or store your payment details, card numbers, or bank information — that information is handled entirely by Venmo and Square under their own privacy policies. We may see the amount and, depending on the platform, a name or username associated with the transaction.
3. How We Use Your Information
- To send newsletter updates about new work, print drops, and studio news, only to those who sign up.
- To respond to inquiries sent by email or social media.
- To understand, in aggregate, how the site is used so we can improve it.
We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information to third parties for their own marketing purposes.
4. Cookies, Tracking & Service Providers
This site does not set advertising or tracking cookies. It uses your browser’s local storage only to remember that you’ve seen the cookie notice, and cookieless, aggregated analytics (Vercel Web Analytics) to count visits. You can reopen the notice any time from “Cookie settings” in the footer.
These companies process data on our behalf:
- Vercel — website hosting and analytics. Like any web host, it processes your IP address to deliver pages and block abuse.
- Formspree — receives newsletter signups and forwards them to our inbox.
- Cloudflare Turnstile — a privacy-friendly check on the newsletter form that tells people from bots.
- Venmo — handles donations on its own site, under its own privacy policy.
We don’t respond to browser “Do Not Track” signals differently, because we don’t track you across other sites.
5. Prints & Future Purchases
Prints are not currently available for purchase through this site. When print sales go live, this section will be updated to describe how order information — including shipping address and payment details, processed securely through our payment provider — is collected and used to fulfill your order. We will never store full payment card numbers on our own systems.
6. Your Rights & Choices
- Unsubscribe: every newsletter email includes an unsubscribe option, or you can email us directly to be removed.
- Delete your data: you can request that we delete any information we hold about you (such as your email address) at any time by emailing us using the contact details below.
- Ask us anything: if you have questions about what information we hold or how it’s used, reach out and we’ll respond directly.
7. California Privacy Rights
If you live in California, you have the right to know what personal information we hold about you, to ask us to correct or delete it, and not to be treated differently for using these rights. We do not sell or share your personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising, and we do not disclose it to third parties for their own direct marketing. To make a request, email us at the address below. We’ll respond within 45 days.
8. Changes to This Policy
As the site grows — particularly once print sales go live — this policy will be updated to reflect new functionality. The effective date at the top of this page will always reflect the most recent version.
9. Contact
